Village Hall News February 2011

...NEWS...NEWS...NEWS...

****Burns Night Bash – 29 January****
A great evening was had by all, with music, poetry and comedy to accompany the haggis, neeps & tatties and luscious desserts. Over £1,300 was raised for the Hall funds! Grateful thanks go to “After Hours” who got our guests bopping, Doug Wood for his touching tribute to the haggis and his guidance in the Scottish Country Dancing, and all other performers, cooks & helpers - a great team effort!

****Where Does the Money Go?****
The successful events over the year have enabled us to support the Church and to boost Hall funds. We are looking at ideas to improve the hall lighting so as to be appropriate for all the different events and activities that take place there. We also want to purchase some more fold-up tables that can be easily stored, moved and set up. These improvements will all help to make the hall a more inviting venue to hire for parties / clubs / meetings.
